OHIO – Sean Mackin, senior from Chagrin Falls High School, made his future evident Wednesday, February 4, 2015, by signing his NLI (National Letter of Intent). February 4th marks the first day that high school seniors could sign scholarship papers for the following sports: Football, Men and Women’s Soccer, Water polo (Mens’ only), and more.
The National Letter of Intent is a binding agreement between the student-athlete and a college, by which the student-athlete agrees to attend the college for one academic year.
Mackin, LB/ 6’2”/ 214lbs., will be looking to continue his academic career at Harvard University and his athletic career playing Football for the Crimson. Mackin earned four varsity football letters at Chagrin Falls. He was a first team CVC member twice and was named CVC defensive MVP. Mackin was also the 2013 Geauga County Touchdown Club Defensive MVP. In addition, Mackin made the All Ohio team in 2013 and the Academic All Ohio team in 2014.
